The Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif along with other prominent leaders is expected to address the rally. Shehbaz likely to be elected interim party president After Nawaz Sharif's disqualification as party head, the ruling party is likely to elect Shehbaz as its interim president at a meeting of the central working committee (CWC) in Lahore later today. The Punjab chief executive would likely be elected as the permanent party president through the party's general council within 45 days. The party leadership earlier agreed that apart from the senior vice-president of the party, the CWC can also elect another office-bearer as the interim president. The meeting is likely to adopt a resolution reposing its confidence in Nawaz Sharif.
