Karnataka & Maharashtra are top-most producers of doctors

Two-third of doctors in India are in just seven states including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. Because states with more medical colleges have more doctors and better medical facilities, a parliamentary panel has recommended opening new colleges where doctor-population ratio is lower.
