Mumbai Police has recently launched ‘Nirbhaya Squad’, an initiative for women safety. Aiming to prevent sexual harassment and crimes against women in public places, the specially dedicated team focuses on patrolling hotspots of crime and gathering intelligence from women shelters and hostels.
