SC hearing on Jamiat-Ulama-I-Hind plea against demolition drive in UP adjourned till June 29

The Supreme Court on Friday deferred a hearing for June 29 on a plea filed by Jamiat-Ulama-I-Hind seeking directions to UP authorities to ensure that no further demolitions of properties are carried out in the state without following due process. The court adjourned the matter on the request made by petitioners, seeking more time to reply to the UP government affidavit.
