'Make in India, Make for the globe': PM Modi lays foundation stone of C-295 military aircraft plant in Gujarat

In a major aatmanirbhar push, PM Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone of a mega manufacturing plant in Gujarat's Vadodra for the production of C-295 medium transport aircraft for IAF.The aircraft will be produced by a consortium of European aerospace major Airbus and Tata Group.Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Modi said the transport aircraft that will be manufactured in Vadodra will not only give power to India's forces but also create an ecosystem of aerospace manufacturing.
