Mann Ki Baat: 4,000 Indian women performed Haj without 'mehram', it's 'huge transformation', says PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi praised over 4,000 Muslim women for performing Hajj this year without a male companion known as 'mehram', calling it a "huge transformation". The reform was introduced in 2018 by Modi's government to do away with the compulsion of males accompanying women on the pilgrimage.
